Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television show. Her parents had divorced and she moved with her mom into Los Angeles. It was a struggle to get by when she got her first part in the acting world as Rachel's Room's leading character. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost in which she was the main actor for the first two seasons. She was also awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. Grace left the television series in 2005 to focus on a more significant role in films, having appeared in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. Grace has been in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Her role was reprised as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version to the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series in the final two episodes, playing Shannon. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season that aired from 2013 to 2014. The role she plays is Faith as a girl who serves as a model for celebrities and attracts the eye to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She is part of Gyllenhaal's family, and is the older cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first appearances were in films of her father when he was an adolescent. Together with her brother she appeared in Donnie Darko (2000). Then she appeared on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal's leading roles in Secretary, an erotico-romantic comedy, and Sherrybaby (a film) received her nominations for Golden Globe Award. The actress gained more attention after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercial films she starred in during 2006. She received a nomination for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her role of a single mom in Crazy Heart. After that she continued to star in comedies as well as dramas such Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as The Won't Back Down (12).
